My daughter, whom we’ve dubbed “Afrindian,” because she’s half African and half Native American, goes through this all the time. Not Black enough, not Native enough — nobody knows what she’s “supposed to be,” based on her physical appearance. She has decided to be herself. And to celebrate all of the cultures she comes from in her own quirky ways. She would love this piece. I will send it to her promptly. And bless you for it!
