I’m supposed to say something, but…THIS loss is too deep for words.

Here is Malcolm John “Mac” Rebennack as many of us remember him best:

I can’t remember which celebrity said it, or where I saw it or when, but I remember him standing back watching Dr. John play and leaning toward someone next to him to say something like, “God,I mean…what it is like to just know you’re hipper than everyone else in the world?”

The only man who knew is gone now. And, oh, Louisiana I grieve with you this day.
