I think Diana herself was less prepared, at that very young age, for the royals. She admitted that herself, eventually. Meghan has had quite a life, done remarkable charitable work for years and has a very strong spine. The fact that the family allowed her and Harry to plan that wedding, their way, speaks volumes. I was impressed that they all seemed to be welcoming her and to be serving notice to the public, even in their choice of titles for her and Harry, that a new day had come. The original Duke of Sussex was vociferously against slavery and mistreatment of the Jews, despite the objections of many in his class at the time, and sponsored social programs for the less fortunate.
