He was a beautiful mess, broken wings but a beautiful mind and what he could do with that bass is still indescribable and irreplaceable. I think sometimes that people like Jaco can’t stay with us very long. The world they live in and the world we live in are so completely disparate that they have to go “elsewhere” to be free. I miss the brave new worlds he took me to while he was here. I wish we had someone to do that for us now…
